Rory O’Connor is a presenter and entertainment journalist who has interviewed some of the world’s biggest stars including Sir Tom Jones, Sir David Attenborough, Michael Bublé, Dolly Parton, Charlie Puth, Hugh Grant and Matthew McConaughey.
Aside from global musicians and TV superstars, Rory has also covered breaking news stories and interviewed top politicians and political party leaders. Rory is also behind the successful social media launches of The News Agents podcast and Tonight with Andrew Marr on LBC, as well as running all social channels for Global and Global Player.
Rory creates entertaining videos including guest interviews, red carpet celebrity interviews, TV show launches, festivals, exhibitions and major events coverage. He has written and digitally presented for Smooth Radio, Smooth Country, Gold Radio and TalkRadio. He has also written for national newspapers and online news sites – including pulling in a whopping 92 million page views and 32 million unique visitors to the Daily Express Online.

Rory is a trained journalist with a Gold Standard NCTJ, along with a First Class Degree in Broadcast Operations and Production.
He has worked behind-the-scenes in various roles on some of the biggest shows on television including The Cube, Reflex, The Jeremy Kyle show, Judge Rinder, and trained on other shows such as This Morning, Loose Women, Lorraine, QI, Tipping Point Celebrity Specials, The Graham Norton Show, Alan Carr Chatty Man and Mock The Week… to name a few.
Rory is camera trained and can edit in Premiere Pro and Final Cut.
Aside from broadcast journalism and TV, Rory is a singer and has performed at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club with The Puppini Sisters, as well as on their live Christmas broadcast.
